Drivers confused, misled by DMV inspection station signs
When drivers came to D.C. DMV's only inspection station on Saturday, it was closed for a funeral and it didn't reopen.
To make matters worse, there were confusing and contradictory messages at the station and online.
One big sign says the station is open every Saturday. But there was also a sign on Saturday, saying it would be closed from 6 a.m. to 10 a. m.
It was only on the website and on one calendar - in much smaller print - residents were told the station would have special hours - open at 6 a.m. at Saturday, but closing for the day at 10 a.m.
The only other clue - also in much smaller print - was a sign noting an engineer's funeral at noon.
