But that was then and this is now. Times have changed, but even today at Eastham's, you'll still see touches of the past.

"We still offer full service,” says Steve Embry, general manager. “We're probably one of the only stations around that still offers full service."

But that full-service will end by the end of this week.

The Eastham family's long-time lease is up and a developer plans to replace the station with a large apartment complex.

Working first for Robert Eastham senior on the right there and then Robert Junior, general manager Steve Embry has been serving customers here for 29 years.

"They want to know are we moving somewhere and what's going to happen because they're worried about where they're going to take their cars,” he says.
