Family holds vigil for drunk driving victims
September 5, 2012 - 12:13 am
A local family held a vigil Tuesday night to remember two lives lost three years ago.
On Sept. 4, 2009, Rebecca Sacra and her grandson, 2-year-old Jonathan, were killed by a drunk driver.
William Mallory, 26, was leaving a Jimmy Buffett concert when he hit a car carrying Sacra, Jonathan and two other family members. He served a few years in prison and was recently released.
Tuesday night, the family and advocates against drunk driving took aim at those who drink and get behind the wheel.
Watch Jay Korff's report to hear the family's heartbreaking message.
