September 4, 2012 - 07:09 am
It’s back to school today for students in Arlington, Alexandria, Prince William and Fairfax counties.
Tuesday also marks the beginning of the end for Fairfax County Schools Superintendent Jack Dale, who will retire at the end of the school year.
Dale says he will retire when his contract ends in June 2013.
Dale, who took over the 175,000-student school system - the largest in the Washington area - in 2004, appeared on Good Morning Washington to talk about his future and the new school year.
