Julio Cesar Revolorio Ramos arrested for prostituting Maryland teen
An Adelphi man has been arrested for allegedly transporting a teen girl as part of his prostitution business.
Julio Cesar Revolorio Ramos, a native of Guatemala who was in the U.S. illegally, faces a maximum sentence of life in prison, if convicted. He is scheduled to appear in federal court at 2 p.m. in Alexandria.
According to court documents, starting in January 2009, Ramos allegedly prostituted a, then, 15-year-old girl from Maryland and continued to use her to sell sex over the next year and a half.
Ramos reportedly operated a prostitution service that transported women from Maryland to engage in commercial sex with clients in Northern Virginia.
The teen was recruited by Ramos’ girlfriend and lived with the couple for at their home in Hyattsville, court records allege.
Court records say Ramos delivered a woman to locations in Annandale and Falls Church in August 2012.
