Kristen Stewart, Rob Pattinson appear to be reconciling
Today’s visit to the clandestine meeting room that is the pop-culture world finds a potential reconciliation, singers who love a certain POTUS, many other items, and the mystery music video.
BACK TOGETHER?: It’s looking that way, per People, “Speculation of a possible reconciliation between Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson has been swirling since the news broke that she cheated on him with director Rupert Sanders – and PEOPLE has learned that the couple did recently reunite. Stewart, 22, and Pattinson, 26, met up in Los Angeles over the weekend of Sept. 15, PEOPLE reports in its upcoming issue.” http://bit.ly/S7fgYA
AND THIS: Aforementioned meeting was only the beginning, per Us Weekly, “After that tete-a-tete, the Twilight twosome (Breaking Dawn Part 2 hits theaters in November) have met on subsequent occasions, another source confirms. "They're working it out," the source tells Us. "He's still in love with her." http://bit.ly/OEU8to
HAIR COLOR TBD: No surprise here, per The Hollywood Reporter, “Katy Perry has signed on to perform at the President Obama fundraising concert Oct. 7 in Los Angeles, a campaign fundraiser told The Hollywood Reporter. Perry is expected to be one of several artists who will sing for the president at the "30 Days to Victory" concert at the Nokia Theater. The other performers are expected to be disclosed in coming days.” http://bit.ly/T3pewG
COMPLICATED: But there’s a reason, per the Los Angeles Times, “The race for Oscar just got a little more harried. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' decision to shift its nominations date five days earlier sent ripples throughout Hollywood on Tuesday, with new deadlines threatening to leave some high-profile end-of-year releases with less time to make an impression on Oscar voters.” http://lat.ms/S7eE57
BOOK REVIEW: No burning allowed, per the New York Times, “Salman Rushdie’s “Joseph Anton” is a memoir of the roughly 10 years he spent in hiding, under police protection, after the Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini called for his death in 1989 because his novel “The Satanic Verses” was deemed offensive to Islam. The memoir’s title, cobbled together from the first names of Joseph Conrad and Anton Chekhov, is the alias he used while under the fatwa.” http://nyti.ms/UjdPUo
NO COMMENT: This doesn’t need one, per the AP, “Lindsay Lohan was arrested in New York early Wednesday on charges that she clipped a pedestrian with her car and did not stop, police said. The 26-year-old actress was arrested at 2:25 a.m. as she left a nightclub at the Dream Hotel on 16th Street in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood, police said. They said no alcohol was involved.” http://wj.la/VcH9OU
SHOW ME THE MONEY: And have a seat on the couch, per The Hollywood Reporter, “After an appearance on the Late Show With David Letterman in New York on Tuesday, President Barack Obama picked up a cool $4 million at a fundraiser hosted by Jay-Z and Beyoncé at the 40/40 Club. One hundred donors in suits and dresses sat on sofas in a large, dark glassy room at Jay-Z's exclusive club, according to a pool report. Each paid $40,000 to attend the event.” http://bit.ly/OEQTfV
MORE ‘TODAY’ TURMOIL?: Calm down, big guy, per the New York Post, “As “Today” sinks in the ratings, Matt Lauer has become an “anchor animal” behind the scenes, NBC sources say, adding that he’s taken control of the show and berates staff who are no longer allowed to even mention rival “Good Morning America” around him.” http://bit.ly/S50YmW
HEADED HOME: But to what?, per E!, “It's right about now that we suspect Kate Middleton and Prince William wouldn't mind extending their Diamond Jubilee tour of the South Pacific. Because while there's no place like home, their home happens to be the pinnacle of the tabloid-crazy, still-going-strong topless photo scandal that broke while they were abroad. Still, the royal couple today boarded a plane (a commercial plane, mind you) back to the U.K.” http://eonli.ne/OZKYn0
MEANWHILE: Surprise, surprise, per Access Hollywood, “The top editor of a Danish celebrity weekly says his magazine will hit the streets this week with the topless photos of Britain’s likely future queen. Kim Henningsen, editor in chief of Se&Hoer, says the pictures of Prince William’s wife Kate will appear in a 16-page supplement sold with Thursday’s edition.” http://bit.ly/UoLmPU
BLOCKED: Just the facts, per AFP, “YouTube said Wednesday it extended its restrictions on a video sparking unrest in the Islamic world to Saudi Arabia, saying it is among countries where the film is considered illegal. YouTube parent Google said in a statement that the "Innocence of Muslims" film would be restricted "in countries where it is considered illegal by local authorities; that is, to date, India, Indonesia. Malaysia and Saudi Arabia." http://yhoo.it/Ud4GB8
