Largo water service out due to broken pipe
September 20, 2012 - 05:16 am
About 267 households in Largo are waking up with low water pressure or no water at all due to a broken pipe in the area.
The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission says a contractor struck 24-inch water pipe, causing it to rupture around 3 p.m. Wednesday, in the 600 block of Largo Road.
Repairs are underway, but could last until mid-Thursday morning.
For those who have water pressure, WSSC says the water is still safe to drink.
