A 23-year-old Clarksburg man was arrested and charged with multiple counts when shots were reportedly fired near the Bentz Street Raw Bar in downtown Frederick Sunday afternoon, police say.

Frederick city police responded to a call at about 2 p.m. at the bar located at 6 S. Bentz Street.

In the investigation police identified the shooter as Derrick Welmon Nash of 25310 Frederick Road, Clarksburg, Md.

Police say Nash was charged with two counts of reckless endangerment, one count of possession of a handgun, one count of transporting a handgun in a vehicle, and discharging a firearm within the city limits.
