Marion Barry book to reveal life story, struggles

D.C. Councilman and former mayor Marion Barry is writing his memoir.
Barry says the book will trace his life from growing up poor in the South to his years as a civil rights activist and politician.
The councilman says he won’t shy away from the low points in his life, such as his 1990 cocaine possession arrest.
Barry says the book could be published sometime next year.
