Metro weekend work could cause delays
WASHINGTON (AP) - Metro says customers traveling on Metrorail this weekend can expect delays of up to 20 minutes on several lines because of weekend work.
Metro says red line trains will share a single track between Van Ness and Friendship Heights and between NoMa-Gallaudet and Fort Totten. Customers should allow 15 minutes of additional travel time.
On the orange line, trains will single track between Vienna and West Falls Church, adding 10 minutes to travel times. Blue line trains will single track between Stadium-Armory and Morgan Boulevard, causing 15 minute delays.
Metro says on the green line free shuttle buses will replace trains at the Greenbelt station only and customers traveling to or from that station should allow 20 minutes extra travel time.
There is no scheduled work on the yellow line.
