Michael Balcom killed in Gaithersburg accident

GAITHERSBURG, Md. (AP) - Montgomery County Police say a motorcyclist has died after colliding with a car in Gaithersburg.
It happened about 1:45 p.m. Monday at Great Seneca Highway and Longdraft Road. Police say a motorcycle operated by 24-year-old Michael Balcom of Germantown was traveling north on Great Seneca Highway. Officers say a car driven by 67-year-old Toney Williams Moses of Gaithersburg tried to make a left turn in front of the motorcycle.
Police say the motorcycle hit the passenger side of the car, and Balcom was thrown from the motorcycle. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The accident is under investigation.
