Motorcyclist dies in collision with box truck in Wheaton
WHEATON, Md. (AP/ABC7) - Police in Montgomery County are investigating a fatal collision in Wheaton that involved a motorcycle and a box truck.
Police say the crash happened at about 7 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Ennalls Avenue.
A 2002 Kawasaki motorcycle and a 2013 Freightliner box truck were both traveling north in parallel lanes on Georgia Avenue approaching University Boulevard West, police say.
Police say the motorcycle entered the lane the truck was driving in, and the two vehicles collided.
The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. The motorcycle driver has been identified as 31-year-old Ega Egbemimon Edorh-Ananou of District Heights.
The driver of the truck, Erick U Tatchikou, 35, of Randallstown, Md. was not injured.
