Natalia Wilson to serve life sentence for two killings
MANASSAS, Va. (AP) - An Arlington woman will serve life in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of capital murder, including her husband's 8-year-old child.
Forty-eight-year-old Natalia Wilson admitted Tuesday that she killed a woman she perceived as a romantic rival, 41-year-old Slavka Naydenova of Dale City, and Naydenova's son, Paul Wilson.
Prince William County prosecutor Paul Ebert said Wilson was married to Naydenova's ex-husband and jealous of the attention she received. Court documents indicate Naydenova was stabbed more than 50 times and the boy's throat was slashed.
The two were killed in February 2010.
The plea deal spares Wilson a potential death sentence.
Naydenova was the sister of Iliya Pavlov, a Bulgarian billionaire who was shot and killed in 2003 after testifying at the murder trial of a former prime minister.
