National Symphony to perform Labor Day concert
September 2, 2012 - 12:07 pm
WASHINGTON (AP) - The National Symphony Orchestra is presenting its annual Labor Day concert in the Kennedy Center's Eisenhower Theater.
The concert begins Sunday at 8 p.m. It's free to the public, and gates to the Capitol grounds open at 3 p.m.
The symphony will perform patriotic classics as well as highlights from Stephen Flaherty's "American River Suite" and "Casey at the Bat" with narration by actor Michael John Casey.
The concert was moved to an indoor venue because of inclement weather.
