Off-duty Montgomery County officer accused of pulling out gun during traffic incident
An off-duty Montgomery County police officer is accused of pulling out his gun during a traffic incident on the campus of the University of Maryland Saturday, according to The Diamondback.
The officer is accused of striking a man with his vehicle’s mirror in Lot 1 on campus. The man who was struck then threw a water bottle at the officer’s windshield.
The officer, who is not identified, then pulled out a gun to “subdue” the man at the scene of the crash, The Diamondback reports.
Montgomery County police tell The Diamondback that the officer has not suspended or disciplined the officer. University police are leading the investigating into the incident.
