Police investigating Southeast infant's death
September 6, 2012 - 08:34 am
An unresponsive infant taken to United Medical Center in Southeast was pronounced dead, police say.
D.C. Police Spokesperson Anthony Clay says the father took the baby to the hospital, where the infant was declared dead around 5 a.m. Thursday.
Hospital personnel’s efforts to resuscitate the child were unsuccessful, Clay said.
The cause of death is unclear, but Clay says there are no signs of foul play at this time.
