Washington Redskins rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III is still basking in the glow of his stellar debut this past Sunday, and now he's got an award to back it up.
The NFL has named Griffin the NFC's Offensive Player of the week for his performance in the Redskins' 40-32 Week 1 victory over the New Orleans Saints.
In the first start of his career, Griffin threw for 320 yards and two touchdowns while leading Washington to victory at the Mercedes Benz Superdome. He also scrambled for 42 yards.
