Elizabeth Colton of Gaithersburg killed in two-vehicle crash
A woman is dead following a crash in the Kentlands area of Gaithersburg Sunday.
Police say 69-year-old Elizabeth Colvin Colton of Gaithersburg was killed when the car she was riding in collided with another car at the intersection of Great Seneca Road and Lakelands Drive.
Her driver, 77-year-old Seymour Baden, attempted to turn left onto Lakelands Drive and was struck by a Toyota. Baden was taken to the hospital where he remains in critical condition.
Both the driver of the Toyota, 21-year-old Rachel Weintraub, and her passenger, 25-year-old George Dancer, had non-life-threatening injuries.
The collision is under investigation. Witnesses are encouraged to contact the Collision Reconstruction Unit at (301) 840-2435.
