South Capitol Street murders: Sanquan Carter, Orlando Carter, Jeffrey Best, Robert Bost and Lamar Williams to be sentenced
Five men convicted in one of the most deadly spates of violence in the history of the District of Columbia are set to learn their sentences.
The group was convicted by a jury in May and held responsible for shootings that began over a dispute about a costume jewelry bracelet and left five people dead.
The jury deliberated for more than a week before finding all five co-defendants guilty of a total of more than 170 charges.
Four men were found guilty of first-degree murder and other charges, and one man was found guilty of second-degree murder and other offenses.
The five men scheduled for a hearing in D.C. Superior Court on Tuesday are Sanquan Carter, Orlando Carter, Jeffrey Best, Robert Bost and Lamar Williams.
