September 19, 2012 - 04:06 pm
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - A judge says a plea agreement relating to Delegate Tiffany Alston has fallen through. Anne Arundel Circuit Court Judge Paul Harris made the announcement Wednesday in court.
State prosecutors and Alston's attorneys had a hearing scheduled to discuss the agreement.
Now, they are expected to discuss what happens next later in the afternoon. Alston has been convicted of using state money to pay an employee in her law office.
She is charged in a separate case of using campaign money to pay wedding expenses. Alston is a Democrat who represents Prince George's County.
