William Lewis Schaeffer, Jr.: Human remains found in Manassas identified

Human remains found in Manassas have been identified as 51-year-old William Lewis Schaeffer, Jr.
Manassas Police say landscapers discovered the human remains were discovered in a wooded area near the intersection of Dumfries Road and Manassas Mill Road on September 14.
Both the cause and manner of Schaeffer’s death is under investigation, but police say there is no indication that his death was caused by a criminal act.
Police say Schaeffer lived in Manassas.
