Annandale crash kills one

One person is dead after a serious car accident along John Marr Drive in Annandale.

The crash happened near Backlick Road around 2:25 a.m. Thursday, Fairfax County police say.

The identity of the victim has not been released.

All lanes of the intersection of John Marr Drive and Backlick Road were closed during the investigation, but the lanes of Backlick Road have since reopened.
