STAUNTON, Va. (AP) - A former nurse's aide has pleaded guilty to assault and battery charges stemming from incidents involving two incapacitated residents at a Staunton nursing home.
Anthony M. Johnson was accused of molesting the residents at Envoy of Staunton.
The News Leader says the 47-year-old Johnson entered his plea Wednesday in Staunton General District Court. Judge William C. Goodwin gave Johnson a suspended 12-month sentence and fined him $100 on each of the two charges.
Two Envoy administrators face charges of failing to report the assaults to authorities.
