Boxer Sugar Ray Leonard in Palmer Park for anti-bullying event

PALMER PARK, Md. (AP) - Boxer Sugar Ray Leonard is returning to his hometown in Prince George's County to condemn bullying and promote literacy.
Leonard is joining county Police Chief Mark Magaw and county NAACP president Bob Ross at a news conference Thursday at police headquarters. That building is in Palmer Park, where Leonard grew up.
A world champion boxer who competed for the United States in the 1976 Olympics, Leonard will also announce plans for more educational opportunities for children at the Sugar Ray Leonard Boxing Center.
The event is scheduled for 3:45 p.m. Thursday.
