Brian David Samf struck, killed in Prince William County
A driver in Prince William County was struck and killed following a road rage incident Friday afternoon, authorities say.
Police were called to Prince William Parkway and Yates Ford Road just after 4:30 p.m. for an accident involving a pedestrian.
Police say a 38-year-old Manassas man was driving his 2012 Ford F-350 westbound on Yates Ford Road. Also traveling on Yates Ford Road was 47-year-old Brian David Samf, driving a 2000 Dodge Dakota.
According to investigators, Samf began to tailgate the other driver. When the two reached a red light in Prince William County, Samf exited his vehicle and approached the F-350. Police say he then attempted to climb through the half-opened passenger window in an attempt to fight the driver of the F-350.
The driver of the F-350 moved his truck forward, causing Samf to fall. He was then run over by the truck, police explained. He was taken to an area hospital where he later died.
No charges have been filed against the other driver at this time, but the investigation continues.
