George McGovern funeral services set

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - Former senator and presidential candidate George McGovern will be remembered as a public servant with broad appeal during a service today in South Dakota.
The large memorial service will follow the more intimate prayer service held last night in Sioux Falls and attended by the state's luminaries and Vice President Joe Biden, who hailed McGovern as "the father of the modern Democratic Party."
McGovern died Sunday at age 90.
