Graco high chair recall: 86,000 Graco Classic Wood models recalled
Graco, one of the most prominent manufacturers of products for babies and young children, is recalling tens of thousands of wood high chairs after seats came loose and caused several children to fall.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission says that about 86,000 Graco Classic Wood Highchairs in the United States are part of the recall and an additional 3,400 are affected in Canada. CPSC officials say that they've received reports of 58 reports of seats on the high chairs either loosening or detaching from the base.
On nine occasions, the CPSC says that children have fallen and sustained bumps, bruises, scratches and, in one instance, a concussion.
The chairs involved in the recall boast model numbers 3C00BPN, 3C00BPN TC, 3C00CHY TC, 3C00CPO and 3C00CPO TC. The number is printed on a label underneath the seat assembly.
