K Street pedestrian accident leaves woman critically injured

A woman is in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle along K Street in Northwest.
D.C. police say the crash occurred near 15 Street Monday night.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, where she is undergoing surgery, police said.
Police say the driver of the striking vehicle remained at the scene.
No further details were immediately available.
