Man found dead in Temple Hills home
Prince George's County police are investigating the death of a man found in a Temple Hills home after gunfire was reported in the area Monday afternoon.
For hours, investigators combed the scene on 25th Street for clues.
Cpl. Maria McKinney of the Prince George's County Police Department said, "Once the officers came on the scene, they found an individual who had trauma to the body. They were transported to the hospital, and it is now being worked at on as a homicide investigation."
Still unsure whether the victim died from a gunshot wound or some other trauma, investigators are saying very little about what they think happened at the suburban home.
Richard Talley says he's the victim's uncle and that after speaking with his sister he believes he knows what transpired in the moments before his nephew's death.
"They was in the house with him and heard a knock on the door,...he went outside and they heard a gunshot. That is all she told me," Talley said.
Talley said the victim lived in the home with his mother and grandmother. He added his nephew had troubles in the past, but he wasn't involved in anything serious.
"He was in a detention center for something. I guess for, for fighting," Talley continued.
