Maryland ballot question 7 protest
With their signs and shirts, dozens of people showed up outside the Prince George's county Tuesday to protest Maryland ballot question 7. If passed it will green light the plans for a casino in Prince George's County.
An ad on craigslist, however raises questions about whether participants came to oppose the casino or because they thought they were getting paid.
The ad, which rally organizers say they didn’t post, says people would get $25-40 if they showed up, and a referral bonus would be given if people showed up in a group of three or more. One woman demonstrating says she lives in Northeast DC and can't vote on the issue.
The ad says it was posted by a group called Causes Are Us. An email question into the group's add was not answered.
