VIRGINIA
Michelle Obama in Loudoun for campaign stop
October 9, 2012 - 05:05 am
LEESBURG, Va. (AP) - First lady Michelle Obama will be campaigning for her husband in northern Virginia.
Mrs. Obama is expected late Tuesday afternoon at the Loudoun County fairgrounds for a campaign rally that will focus in part on encouraging voters to register in advance of the state's Monday deadline.
Loudoun County, a swing county in Virginia, has already seen visits from Ann Romney and from the president himself.
The first lady made one of her first campaign appearances earlier this year in Prince William County, another swing county in northern Virginia.
The Obama campaign distributed tickets to Tuesday's event through its campaign offices.
