The man who admitted to playing a role on one of D.C.’s worst shootings was sentenced to 25 years in prison, according to the Washington Post..

Nathaniel Simms was sentenced to 25 years, which prosecutors had recommended.

He pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and other charges for opening fire on a crowd on South Capitol Street in March 2010. Five people died.

Simms testified against five other suspects, who were recently sentenced to 30 years to life in prison.
