Power outages cancel class for some D.C., Md., Va. students

Power outages aren't just affecting residents at their homes, they're impacting the school day for thousands of students.
All D.C. schools will be open Thursday after being closed all week.
As of Thursday night, the only Frederick County school without power was Lewistown Elementary. Parents should check in the early morning to see if power has been restored.
Anne Arundel County schools will also reopen Thursday, except Lothian Elementary, Magothy River Middle, Severn River Middle and Southern Middle.
A handful of schools in Fairfax County are closed due to power outages:
Langley High Sschool
Holmes Middle School
Sleepy Hollow Elementary School
Spring Hill Elementary School
