October 22, 2012 - 07:13 am
The Washington Redskins summer training camp will be held at a vacant land behind the Science Museum of Virginia in Richmond, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch.
A city official with knowledge of the agreement told the Times-Dispatch that specifics and financing details will be disclosed by Mayor Dwight C. Jones in a news conference Monday afternoon, and that the multi-million dollar investment in the city includes the development of two other sites and the creation of more than 200 jobs.
The team has spent the past several years holding camp at their Ashburn headquarters before the move to Richmond.
