Romney cancels Sunday rally in Va. Beach
October 26, 2012 - 01:30 pm
RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Republican Mitt Romney's Sunday evening rally in Virginia Beach has been canceled because of Hurricane Sandy.
Romney had been scheduled to speak at an event at the Farm Bureau Live Amphitheater. Officials say it will be rescheduled for a later date.
The former Massachusetts governor is still scheduled to attend a noon rally in Haymarket in Prince William County, and a 4:15 p.m. event at the University of Richmond.
Polls show Virginia among the last handful of states where the election is a toss-up.
