Springfield neighbors respond to stolen Obama, Romney signs
October 18, 2012 - 11:48 pm
A battle over political signs is taking place in Springfield and two neighbors came up with innovative ways to protect their signs.
The neighbors, one Democrat, one Republican, were so upset about their Obama and Romney signs being stolen that they took matters into their own hands.
A few weeks ago June Blackwell had her Obama sign stolen in the 5000 block of Rolling Road in Springfield.
Only a few houses away, Eric Schaefer had his Romney sign stolen.
Both Blackwell and Schaefer fought back with new signs, handmade in Blackwell's case.
And they both began to monitor their signs with security cameras.
ABC7's Jay Korff has the story.
