Stafford County student shocked with Taser on school bus
Stafford County Sheriff's officials are still trying to piece together what led to the use of a Taser on a 15-year-old high school student late last week, but their efforts have been stifled due to a lack of video evidence, reports say.
According to the Free-Lance Star, the incident on a county school bus happened at about 2:45 p.m. Friday, when deputies responded to reports of an outburst and argument on a bus near the intersection of Crescent Boulevard and Allatoona Lane.
When authorities arrived, a spokesman told the Free-Lance Star that one deputy shocked a Brooke Point High School student with a Taser after he refused to get off the bus. However, the camera on this specific bus was not functioning at the time.
School officials say that every county school bus has a camera. At least two students face charges including disorderly conduct.
