University of Maryland students are on alert after three students were victims of armed robberies or attempted armed robberies in College Park.
Prince George’s County Police believe the same man, seen in surveillance pictures, is the suspect in each of the incidents.
A male student was robbed and suffered minor injuries after he was robbed Wednesday, Octobert 10, at about 8:30 p.m. near the 9100 block of Baltimore Avenue.
A short time later, a suspect attempted to rob another male student in the 8200 block of Baltimore Avenue. The man wasn’t hurt in the incident.
In the third incident, a female student was robbed at gunpoint at about 8:50 p.m. in the same block. She wasn’t hurt.
The university alerted students quickly.
"They just sent out an email saying there was am armed robbery," Andrew Paul, a UMd. student tells ABC7.
"I live right there so hearing about them is concerning, but i get these alerts all the time," says Sarah Kim, a student.
