Theresa Douglas sentenced for Accokeek bus crash
October 12, 2012 - 12:09 pm
A 41-year-old school bus driver will spend at least five years behind bars for driving a bus into a school employee lounge and wounding three people in Accokeek.
Theresa Douglas was sentenced to 10 years in prison but had five of those years suspended. She must also undergo a psychological evaluation once she is released on probation.
Douglas was convicted of two counts of first-degree assault and one count of malicious destruction of property last month for driving her bus through the employee lounge in December.
