October 11, 2012 - 05:24 am
Tyson Foods has announced a major recall of their chicken wings.
The recall includes 67,000 pounds of “Honey BBQ Flavored Boneless Chicken Wyngz," which were misbranded.
The company says "Buffalo Style Boneless Chicken Wyngz" were packaged in bags meant for "Honey BBQ Flavored Boneless Chicken Wyngz," and contain allergens milk, soy and egg, which are not declared on the label.
The recalled products are:
•25.5 ounce bags with the use by date "Aug 072013" or "Aug 082013"
•12.75 pound shipping cases of "Fully Cooked Boneless Chicken Wyngz Buffalo Style."
Tyson Foods was alerted to the problem through consumer complaints.
No illnesses have been reported.
