Virginia State Trooper hurt in Fairfax vehicle crash
October 29, 2012 - 10:56 pm
FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) - Virginia State Police say a trooper has been injured when a car struck a patrol car in Fairfax.
Troopers say it happened about 6:15 p.m. on the eastbound Interstate 66 ramp to southbound Route 286. Authorities say a car lost control, spun around and t-boned the patrol car.
The impact sent the patrol car off the road. The trooper was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the other car was not hurt. Troopers say the other driver was traveling too fast for the wet road. Charges are pending as the accident is under investigation.
