Wegmans brownie mix recall affects Maryland, Virginia
October 23, 2012 - 04:56 am
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) - Wegmans Food Markets Inc. says it's recalling a brownie mix after reports from two consumers about allergic reactions to undeclared milk in the product.
The recall involves 17.2-ounce packages of Wegmans Gluten Free Double Chocolate Brownie Mix the company started selling in May at its 80 supermarkets in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, and Massachusetts.
Wegmans said Monday that testing showed the mix might contain milk that isn't listed on the label, posing the risk of a reaction in anyone allergic or sensitive to milk.
Customers may return the mix to Wegmans service desks for a full refund.
