WASHINGTON (AP) - More than 20 children in Washington are joining new families.
Saturday is "Adoption Day" at D.C. Superior Court. More than 20 adoptions will be finalized during this year's ceremony. Each child and his or her family will be introduced, and a judge will then sign their adoption decree.
This is the 26th time the court has held an adoption day ceremony. All children adopted in Washington in the past year are invited to the ceremony, along with their families.
