With little sleep and losing his voice, GOP challenger Mitt Romney didn't take the customary day off on election day.
Instead, he was up early to vote in Belmont Massachusetts and then off to Ohio - where he had just been the night before, meeting up with running mate Paul Ryan.
But still keeping a close eye on Virginia, Ryan was sent on to Richmond Tuesday with wife Janna - a former Northern Virginia resident.
With some pollsters predicting Romney has about 181 “safe” electoral votes - to Barack Obama's 201. This campaign knows they need to get to 270 electoral votes by winning as many close swing states as possible -- including Virginia -- and try and pull off some upsets. So they've also refocused their fire on Pennsylvania, picking Pittsburgh as the final stop of this campaign.
He may be the older of the two candidates, but asked by ESPN on Monday Night Football if he's learned anything about himself during the campaign, he said yes: His energy level.
“This campaign process goes on a couple of years - lots of campaign flights, lots of trips. And what I found out that surprised me is the more events I did, the more energy I seemed to get,” he said.
