ELECTION RESULTS
United States of America: Full national results | Electoral Map | Key Races Map
District of Columbia: Washington
Maryland: Statewide | Anne Arundel, Calvert and Charles Counties | Frederick, Howard and Montgomery Counties | Prince George's and St. Mary's Counties
Virginia: Statewide | Alexandria, Arlington and Fairfax City | Fairfax County, Falls Church and Fauquier | Loudoun, Manassas and Manassas Park | Prince William, Spotsylvania and Stafford
Officials say several D.C. poll workers didn't show up Tuesday, so 70 extra volunteers were sent out across the city to help but lines were so long in some places.
Vanessa Simpson is nine months pregnant and was frustrated by a three hour wait time at Walker Jones School and Library.
"Lack of machines there is only one touch screen the rest are paper ballots I mean it just chaotic," she says.
At three D.C. precincts ABC7 only saw one electronic voting machine.
In District Heights, Maryland, eight voting machines went down
The lines at Francis Scott Key Elementary were so long an elderly man collapsed.
And south to Virginia, in Crystal City, where a three hour long line wasn't due to lack of workers or voting machines - volume was the problem.
