Amtrak: Reduced service Monday on NE corridor
November 5, 2012 - 05:33 am
WASHINGTON (AP) - Amtrak says Acela Express and Northeast Regional service will operate with reduced frequency on Monday between Washington, New York and Boston.
And Amtrak is recommending passengers make reservations by phone or online to avoid sold-out trains and long lines at ticket offices.
The rail carrier says passengers can call 800-USA-RAIL and buy tickets using its Amtrak smartphone app as well as buying tickets online.
Amtrak says service to and from New York City is subject to delays while repairs continue to damage caused by last week's hurricane.
