Clarksburg gas line rupture forces evacuations
November 29, 2012 - 11:47 am
Residents in a Clarksburg neighborhood have been evacuated after a gas line broke Thursday morning, officials say.
The line broke just before 11 a.m. in the 13300 block of Latrobe Lane in Clarksburg, Montgomery County Fire spokesperson Beth Anne Nesselt said. A construction worker struck the line and ruptured it, she said.
People who were found in four occupied homes were evacuated to RideOn buses for shelter. Traffic on Route 355/North Frederick Road is also being impacted.
