Dead infant found in attic in Charles County

The body of a dead newborn was found in the attic of a home in Charles County, Md. by residents who were cleaning out an attic.
The residents found the deceased infant on Nov. 16 at the home in the 9700 block of Royal Oak Drive in La Plata.
Authorities are still establishing the cause and manner of death.
The mother of the child has not been identified.
