Two killed in fire at Fort Lee Army post

Two people were found dead after a fire in the residential area of Fort Lee Army post early Monday morning.
The victims have not been identified.
Officials say flames broke out at a housing unit around 3 a.m. According to Fort Lee Fire Chief Franklin Tanner, the fire spread to a neighboring unit in the duplex building. Crews extinguished the blaze shortly afterward.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Fort Lee is located in Fort Lee, Virginia, near the cities of Petersburg, Colonial Heights and Hopewell.
