November 27, 2012 - 06:59 am
WASHINGTON (AP) - A helicopter that helped with Hurricane Katrina relief efforts is set to be installed in front of the D.C. Armory in southeast Washington.
The helicopter is expected to arrive on Wednesday on a flatbed truck and will be moved into position with a crane.
The helicopter is part of the D.C. Army National Guard inventory.
In addition to its service during Hurricane Katrina the helicopter was also used on border patrol assignments before being retired.
